Our Story

• We decided to develop an equestrian business in 2012; breeding and bringing on high end sport horses.
• Purchasing a property at Ardmore and collected top quality warmblood and thoroughbred, mares from around the country our first year for serious breeding was 2014 with 5 foals born in 2015.
• Moved to a larger property at 1714 Miranda Road, Mangatangi in Q1 2023.
• We registered "Pure” as our stud prefix in 2014
• Our management philosophy for jumpers is to bring young horses on slowly, up through the age competitions, and protect all our horses joints and skeletons by training them in jumping on our  cushion sand arenas for a long and successful competition life.
• Mister Macloud, our first serious show jumper, owned for 13 years, was still competing and winning at Amateur Rider/1.2m level at age 15, and winner at 90cm and 1m champs at the Taupo Christmas classic at age 18.
• We also rehabilitate thoroughbreds from racing for a second meaningful life as eventers. We find that this process usually takes a couple of years and we take on 2 or 3 recommended horses per year.
• We retire clients horses in our stunning and quiet property at Mangatangi.
